I have not! In fact I hadn't known this dude existed until you mentioned them. I never got to finish any of the gen 5 games, so that might be why [playing on a small screen like the 3DS gave me rip roaring headaches 😔]. I really like their design!

how canon do we think warzone is? characterisation things like the takedowns and voice lines?

obviously the takedowns are flashy as hell, that's the point, but things like ghost's "cheers ya slag" and "done and dusted" paint him as so much more arrogant than the campaign suggests

but he is arrogant ("i've seen better" "who?" "me") and we never see him work solo except for the opening scene in mw2 where he chooses to remain danger close to a missile (either just bc or bc he wanted to ensure the kill) so who's to say he doesn't act like that on his own? you even see a hint of it in the camera mission when he shows off to soap and jumps off the building to land on the shadow; what is that if not an arrogant, flashy takedown?

if he's happy to do that in the middle of a stealth mission what else would he do just bc he can?

we know warzone is canon in some respects like the seasonal cutscenes (ala alex's resurrection and "i wasn't in that tank") so at least those are canon but what about everything in between? do specgru and kortac exist in canon? is the 141 part of some greater allied team? (which begs the question why do they never try to contact them when the world is literally on the brink but that’s a very meta, “why didn’t anyone call the avengers in their solo movie?” level of nitpick and we don’t do that here, serious nitpicks only)

do we consider them in character? or is it technically an au? is warzone even made by the same team? would characterisation mean anything to them beyond “does it make the character sound cool?”

even zombies, soap takes on a lot more of a leadership role than we see in the campaign, do we think that's how he acts when he's not with the 141? bc that's a significant shift to go from a leader to a clear subordinate without any chafing or annoyance at getting dropped down the pecking order

then you take skins into account; things like ghost's senpai skin is obviously an au but if he gets new takedowns with it (i haven't played and don't know how it works Imao) do we think main ghost still has that skill set? or is it possible for him to learn it? would he want to?

i think the campaigns are set in stone canon but even that characterisation can be touch and go considering how dirty they did price in mw3 and even how mellow he was in mw2 compared to mw19 and just... everything about the final mw3 mission (and mw3 in general, even shepherd being in the helo when they detain makarov in verdansk is ooc as hell and only exists to serve the narrative)

(characterisation in this aspect is difficult to pin down bc it's hard to tell how much is them writing the character of soap, the character of ghost, and how much is them just writing generic military man 1 and generic military man 2; there's some personality and growth but we have to admit it's thin and subtextual at best. how much of soap's behaviour is bc that's how they wanted soap specifically to react and how much is it bc that's how a military guy would react? (things like being angry about releasing hassan when graves reacts the same way))

so if canon isn't even consistent, can we even trust warzone's characterisation?

The rich people cult has been there since the pre-canon bibles from the Felix era!! It was supposed to be the Big Bad Ladybug and Chat were meant to fight after defeating Hawk Moth. I was wondering if 'Gabriel Agreste' meant they had decided to use the concept after all.

Hawk Moth was a member but Nathalie was actually higher ranking than him lmao- they worshipped a kwami who wanted to 'cleanse' the universe by ending it entirely, and it could give them powers.

That's how he originally got the ability to akumatize people, and it also gave pre-canon Nathalie the ability to completely take away people's emotions.

Not sure how much they changed it, because in those stages Tikki and Plagg were the only 'trapped' kwamis- the rest were free to roam the world and choose whatever host they wanted. Mime and Mr Pigeon both got their powers from their own kwamis.

Null Serf continuation:

Konrad ended up making her his personal assistant.

It made sense, she was well educated, an efficient worker and her abilities directly benefited him.

This only made her more disliked by the other workers, clearly, something had to be wrong with her for her to be trusted by the Night Haunter of all people.

She didn't mind, these people never accepted her into their group, they don't even know her name.

Speaking of names, the primarch had recently told her to call him by his first name, Konrad. It felt unnervingly comfortable in her mouth, he was a primarch and she was a mere baseline, she thought it would be more awkward than it was.

In exchange she told him her name, Nyx. It was only fair. Besides it was better than Konrad calling her his serf, or his assistant.

Although she was a bit self conscious about her name as it wasn't common among her fellow citizens Konrad loved it.

Apparently in old terran, it meant "Night". She shouldn't have been surprised since darkness inspired names were common for blank children taken in by the Astra Telepathica.

It seemed fitting that in the end she would end up by the Night Haunter's side.

With her at his side, much of Konrad's job involving paperwork was handled. Something that relieved him greatly. One less thing to worry about.

There was some friction between her and the Marines at first, with them wondering why their father would trust a mere baseline so much, it all became clear soon afterwards.

Sevatar remembered it clearly, the entire shop had been in chaos as his father had been incapacitated by another vision. He had made it to his father's quarters, he was about to help him up when; "The serf, call the serf."

He was certain he had misheard. Sevatar was aware that his father was somewhat attached to that odd serf but why would he want her now of all times? Regardless, he complied and sent word for the Primarch's personal serf.

He was surprised at how quickly she arrived, and most surprising of all, she kneeled down and touched his father's forehead. That seemed to do the trick.

Konrad's breathing evened out and he closed his eyes. The madness seemingly ebbing away.

Sevatar was perplexed. How in the fracking galaxy had she managed that?!

Word spread and several Nightlords personally made a visit to her to see what all the fuss was about. Most left even more confused than before, there didn't seem to be anything notable about her. Except for the ones cursed with precognition. They felt soothed in her presence. That was how the rest of the legion found out about her status as a null.

They weren't the only one to find out her true classification. The other serfs on board were spooked by the increasing number of Nightlords making visits to the serf quarters and her reveal as a Null only strengthened their resolve. Something had to be done about this soulless demon.

One day, when the primarch was on Terra on political business, they spied her in her comfortable quarters, hunched over paperwork.

The fact that such a demonic creature was treated better than them, loyal, servants of the emperor was an outrage. They deserved to be respected by the emperor's angels, they deserved to be commended by their primarch for their hard work. Instead it all went to her.

Just as she was leaving the room, an audible crunch was heard. A hammer straight to the head, according to the ship apothecary. She will make a recovery, but it was only due to the physical weakness of the serf that there wasn't more damage.

Nyx was kept in a coma.

The astartes killed the perpetrator immediately, they knew their father's rage would be immeasurable when he came back.

The worst part was that Konrad vanished for a few days after he got the news. No one knew what actually happened, but from the drastically fewer serfs around it was easy enough to put the pieces together.

Konrad brooded in his room as it returned to its previously messy state. "Stupid baselines thinking too highly of themselves."

He needed a way for everyone to give her the respect she deserved. That was when it hit him. He smiled, it seemed that he had a plan.

Konrad wondered how his boys would react to having a mother.

okay so your post abt alpha-17 and the other alpha arcs got me thinking (and im sorry for using you as sw google but in my mind you're Alpha Legends Lore mutual) who ARE the oldest clones? I feel like everything got... really confusing with a bunch of super secret REAL first clones getting shuffled into the order. is boba the oldest? in my mind it goes 1 boba 2 nulls 3 alphas 4 the rest of the initial clones that obi-wan saw in aotc but I have no bloody clue 😭

ok so. sources probably conflict bc this is star wars, of course they do. what i care about is repcomm so we're just gonna go with that as our primary source with wookieepedia as secondary sources

first we gotta get some dates. unfortunately star wars doesnt really give months for most dates but years is still a starting place. these dates are all pulled from wookieepedia, legends page when applicable/different

also we're using geonosis as our date reference point since the timeline is honestly so hard to work with

1st battle of geonosis, 22 bby, the clone wars are 3 years long

boba fett's birth date is listed as 32 bby, meaning he was 10 at geonosis. cody, rex, ordo, fi, spar, and sull are all also listed with a birth date of 32 bby, so we're down to a difference of months here. essentially they're all the same age though- boba himself, troopers, nulls, commandos, and alphas

chapter 1 of triple zero, kal has just arrived on kamino. it's eight years before geonosis, and 2 years into the cloning program

he does see a lot of clone babies in gestation vats, just like we see in attack of the clones as well as cadets of varying ages- the kaminoans continue producing troopers through the entire ten years of the cloning program, so yes, the 'first generation' (clones deployed at geonosis) ARE older than a lot of later clones. but we dont really have a lot of those later clones as named characters as far as i know

the nulls appear to kal to be 4 or 5 (also peep jango apparently being legitimately shocked by them)

chronologically the nulls are NEARLY two, which probably means like 1 year and 11 months or something

(pause for me to cry about this entire scene, 'kal was instantly proud of all of them,' 'how would you like to be called ordo, he was a mandalorian warrior,' kal teaching them to embrace their fear as a mechanism their body uses to help protect them, but this is gonna be long enough as it is)

and then we have jango showing up with boba. no real indication of if boba or the nulls are actually older, but it's implied that they're very very close in actual age, if not the same age. we also get mention of the commandos and the alphas.

now, this is now just down to what i think and what makes sense to me. the whole point of the nulls is that they were experimental units- the kaminoans wanted to see if tinkering with the genome would be worth it, and ultimately decided it wasn't. it would actually make sense to me if the nulls were at least a year or two older than the rest of the clones- the kaminoans need time to see if their experiment panned out, don't they? but the nulls are also 10 at geonosis

while the nulls have been flash-trained and put through some trial runs at this point, it's indicated that the alphas and commandos aren't quite ready for training yet. this could be because the alphas and commandos are just a bit too young yet, it could be that the kaminoans put the nulls through training at a younger age than they're doing for non-experimental units. not totally clear

this is another point that is important to me: multiple times the nulls pass for clone troopers. i keep seeing headcanons of them being noticeably taller/bigger than other clones and while it is true that they're canonically slightly heavier, i think the difference is probably like 10-20 pounds, most people cannot easily tell the difference. ordo puts on corr's armor and just notes that it's slightly tighter than he's used to. mereel infiltrated kamino in trooper armor unnoticed, even while directly speaking to a kaminoan

here is my opinion on it: -the nulls and boba are basically the same age -the alphas were created next, but a few months after. by this point the kaminoans had decided (possibly because of the nulls' high mortality rate in gestation) that the alphas would be fully unaltered aside from the accelerated aging. the nulls' behavior 'issues' proved to the kaminoans that this was the right call -the commandos were created at the same time or shortly after the alphas. we're talking within weeks if not days. they have minor genetic changes to work better as a team but that's about it. -the troopers then begin production, now that the kaminoans have lots of practice altering jango's genome. heavy alteration for better social cooperation and obedience. -we're talking a span on like 4 months for all of this

you could say that ordo's gray hairs support the nulls being maybe 4-6 months older than everybody else, but i really think he is just that stressy, and there's also book evidence for clones actually aging at variable rates depending on how much stress they're under

quick note for omega: i think her existence is just insane and she's only here because disney was making a children's show and needed a child character (and girl so they can get inclusivity points), but i could see her being made anywhere from at the same time as boba to up to 3 years later. her wookieepedia page doesn't say, because the bad batch never bothered to give us any concrete information on... anything.
